Welcome to the Seed Glossary! Many of the terms we use are borrowed from existing CSS approaches, but there are some words that we made up just for Seed.
This glossary defines all terms we use when describing the various bits of CSS code and approaches for Seed.
BEM
BEM is a CSS naming convention. It's an acronym that stands for Block, Element, Modifier.
Components
A Component is a single element of UI that can be seen and interacted with.
ITCSS
ITCSS is a CSS architecture created by Harry Roberts. It's an acronym that stands for Inverted Triangle CSS.
